Future Lab – 21 to 26 August @ ZID Theatre (Amsterdam, the Netherlands)

From 21 to 26 August, ZID Theater organizes the Future Lab for young makers, a week full of workshops in theatre, dance, improvisation and storytelling. 

Get to know ZID Theater and challenge yourself as a performer and maker. Immerse yourself in a week full of creation, performance and training!

FOR WHOM:  
For young makers and performers who want to learn more about theatre presentation, improvisation and creation. Youdon’t have to have a lot of experience, but you are interestedin developing yourself further and you enjoy workingtogether. This is also a unique opportunity for more experienced makers to work on your skills and ideas.  

PROGRAM: 
Each workshop has a unique angle and discipline. We get towork with body, voice, improvisation and storytelling. Collaboration is a crucial part of this. Theatre, dance and music are discussed, within a multidisciplinary approach in which the performer is central. 

We are working together towards a final presentation on Friday 26 August.  

WHY: 
New collaborations arise and there is room to develop ideasfor future productions. There is also the possibility toparticipate in the OPEN CALL for the international ExploreZ Festival 2023.

Sunday 21 August	Introduction: My Dream and Future – Where am I, where do I want to go as a performer?	14:00 – 17:00
Monday 22 August	Workshop: Physical– and voice training from your own potential	19:00 – 21:15
Tuesday 23 August	Workshop: The creative performer	19:00 – 21:15
Wednesday 24 August	Workshop: Storytelling based on theStoryCatcher game of ZID Theater	19:00 – 21:15
Thursday 25 August	Workshop: Improvisation training	19:00 – 21:15
Friday 26 August	Create and perform the final presentation	19:00 – 21:30

The workshops are led by the artistic team of ZID Theater: performer/trainer Sebo Bakker, maker/trainer Daan Bosch and and a number of guest lecturers. All workshops will take placeat ZID Theater (Amsterdam West).

PARTICIPATE:

• Stage experience is desired

• Present at min. 4 workshops, incl. Friday 26 August

• It is recommended for everyone to attend the introductionon Sunday 21 August
