ExploreZ Festival 2022 has come to an end!

The 7th ExploreZ Festival is over and it was a great success! In three weeks we have programmed 18 performances from the Netherlands, Serbia, Spain and Germany!

In addition to the performances of our international partners, ZID Theater has produced the fantastic performance NO FEAR with 11 young makers with a refugee history. We then celebrated the 30th anniversary of ZID Theater with the performance Re-Dreams. In an unexpected way, the public was able to experience 30 years of ZID’s history with surprising performances and video images during a tour through Broedplaats Bouw, where ZID Theater is located.

The audience was enthusiastic, moved and surprised! Our thanks go to our amazing team at ZID and ExploreZ and to all players, makers, musicians and guests for their contribution. And of course many thanks to the venues (Van Eesteren Museum, Podium Mozaïek, Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof and OBA) and our sponsors (AFK, Fonds voor cultuurparticipatie, Kickstart Cultuurfonds, Municipality of Amsterdam West and Municipality of Amsterdam Nieuw-West, 4 en 5 mei Amsterdam, Creative Europe and Erasmus+).

In May 2023 there will be a new edition of ExploreZ Festival. Soon we will reveal the theme and put out an ‘open call’, so stay tuned!
