Viola Zangirolami
Lecoquian-trained actress, Social and Community Theatre expert, vocal technique trainer, PhD in Comparative Literatures (University of Torino).
She studies theatre at the Atelier Teatro Fisico directed by Philip Radice (Torino) and vocal techniques at the Istituto Mod.A.I. directed by Marco Farinella (Torino). She keeps training by attending workshops by Jonny Melville, André Casaca, Jon Kellam, Lichtenberger Institut.
From 2008 to 2016 she works as an actress mainly with the companies Chiara e Viola (physical and puppet theatre) and Action Theatre in English, directed by Rupert Raison. She also carries out theatre workshops in schools and for the E.T. association Teatro Giovani (Ancona).
In 2018 she starts training and working at the Social and Community Theatre Centre (Torino): she carries out the project #MyRoots in North Ethiopia, then she works in several projects in Europe (Terract, OCA, TIM, MatemACT, Fate, Tone…). From 2020, she co-directs the women choir Bread and Roses.
At the same time, she works as a literature and history teacher in public high schools and middle school.
