Jadranka Andjelic

Her work is based on contemporary theater techniques and research process resulting in performances with original dramaturgy and often included international artist, actors and collaborators. As a theatrical pedagogue, she dedicates herself to the development of each participant in the training and creation process, considering performing arts an important tool for the self-development. Toured internationally and besides working in Dah Theatre, collaborated with Teatret OM (Denmark) 1997 – 2002. Jadranka was the artistic director of MAPA Serbia, (Mobile Academy of Performance Arts, Amsterdam, Netherlands.) She was the selector at the International Festival of New and Alternative theater- INFANT, in Novi Sad/Serbia, in 2009 and 2010. From 2008 to 2019, Jadranka has lived and worked in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she continues to create performances and organize festivals with SEQUÊNCIA FILMES, MÚSICAS E CÊNICAS. Artistic Director of the International Women Performing Arts Festival – MULTICIDADE in Rio de Janeiro, 2015 and 2018.

Winner of the ARTSLink scholarship in the USA, New York. With Dijana Milošević, she received recognition from Eugenia Barba, who shared his Luigi Pirandello Award with the directors in 1997. She won the Otto Rene Castillo Award in New York-USA for engaged theatre (with Dijana Milosevic and DAH Theater) in 2007, as well as the ERSTE Foundation INTEGRATION Award for the project In/Visible City, DAH Theater Research Centre, 2009. With her performances and workshops, she has toured across the Europe as well as Brazil, Greenland, Great Britain, Mongolia, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore and USA .
