Ivana Nikolic
Ivana Nikolic Artist and activist Romni, lives the Serbian-Bosnian conflict on her skin. She arrived with her family in Italy in 1994 and lived her first years in a camp only for “Gypsies” in Turin.
On 8 March 2010 on the occasion of the Women’s Day, she received the award for her social commitment from the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
She received the CILD award (Human Rights Collective Voice category) in 2015. In 2018 she was recognized as an artist by the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) in Berlin.
In 2020 he staged his social denunciation show “Don’t call us gypsies” and in 2021 his podcast “+ Rom-Rum” was born.
